Carbimazole is an antithyroid prodrug used to treat feline hyperthyroidism. It is metabolized in vivo into the active compound methimazole (thiamazole). 

Indications :

The primary indicative use of carbimazole is in the treatment of feline hyperthyroidism. It is used as maintenance therapy, pre-surgical stabilization, or as a trial to assess renal function unmasked by euthyroidism.

Dosage : 

1 tablet contains 5mg carbimazole. Do not attempt to crush or split carbimazole tablets, they must always be given whole
